Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed Marshall Bromwich as its Australia Country Head, with effect from 1 June 2026.
Marshall will succeed Alison Deitz, who has led our business in Australia for two successive three-year terms since 2020. Alison has made a substantial contribution to the firm over this period, and her stewardship was instrumental in fully integrating the Australia and EMEA regions to create an integrated Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific (EMEAPAC) practice in July 2025.
Marshall currently serves as Corporate Team Leader and Head of Consumer Markets in Australia and also leads the firm’s APAC corporate strategic initiative. He will continue to run his Corporate practice alongside his new Country Head role, reflecting the firm’s evolving leadership model following the creation of EMEAPAC. He will be supported by David Willimott, Australia’s Chief Financial Officer, who will assume an expanded role as Chief Operating Officer.
Peter Scott, Managing Partner, EMEAPAC, said:
“I look forward to working with Marshall as we build on the success of last year’s EMEAPAC integration and continue to grow profitably in Australia and across the wider Asia Pacific region. Marshall brings a wealth of experience from his time leading our Australian corporate and consumer markets practices and his appointment strongly supports our APAC strategy, ensuring we are aligned to our clients’ evolving needs and are well positioned to deliver seamless, cross border support across the region. Alison’s leadership and contribution to the firm have been substantial, and I would like to thank her for the lasting impact she has made, as well as her continued support through this transition.”
Marshall Bromwich said:
“I am excited to be taking on the role of Australia Country Head at this important time of growth for the firm. The integration of our Australia and EMEA businesses has created a strong platform for future success, and our clients and people are already experiencing the benefits. I look forward to working closely with our partners and teams to continue delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients across the EMEAPAC region.”
Alison Deitz said:
“It has been a privilege to have led Norton Rose Fulbright’s Australia business over the past six years and to have overseen a period of substantial revenue and profit growth during that time. I am also proud to have helped usher in the successful integration of our Australia and EMEA businesses for the benefit of future generations and for our clients. Marshall is the right person to lead the Australian practice into its next phase as part of EMEAPAC, and I look forward to working with him through the transition.”
