BA Advertising and Art Direction

Rachelle is Ablethorpe Recruitment’s Advertising and Brand Manager and is the driving force behind our candidate acquisition capabilities, managing branding and image of online content and advertising as well as designing our social media program.


Rachelle has worked within the Advertising and Marketing industry for over twenty years. With a background in retail and consumer advertising and branding, Rachelle has worked both internationally and within Australia for companies such as Myer, Harrods, Marks and Spencer and the ANZ bank.

Over her career, Rachelle has partnered with small and large businesses and developed everything from simple logos to national advertising campaigns. Bringing an FMCG sensibility to her role at Ablethorpe Recruitment, Rachelle is crucial to Ablethorpe’ continued growth and our reach into the active and passive candidate market.

Professional Experience

Rachelle completed a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Art Design at RMIT in 1995 and commenced work at Admark and the Promotions Factory as a graphic designer, before moving to the UK and working on iconic international brands such as Marks and Spencer and Harrods. In 2002 Rachelle returned to Australia working for then prominent adverting agency Singleton Ogilvy and Mather, where she played a pivotal branding and art direction role on Myer Account for a number of years. Rachelle joined Ablethorpe Recruitment in 2013, providing us with a real point of differentiation from other agencies and has been pivotal to our ongoing success, driving candidate acquisition and engagement and ensuring that our clients have access to the very best legal talent in the market place.

Recruitment Experience

In a fast moving environment where it is necessary to engage with active job seekers across multiple job search channels and quickly, Rachelle develops and drives our candidate acquisition strategy for clients across our on-line job portals and website, as well as social media sites such as linked-in and twitter.
