Breellen Warry has joined the Maddocks Public Law Planning and Environment team as a partner.
The appointment of Breellen and her team brings the Maddocks Sydney Public Law Planning and Environment team to 4 partners supported by 16 lawyers, making it one of the largest teams of its type in Australia.
Breellen is a leading planning and environment lawyer with over 16 years’ experience, gained in both Australia and in the UK. Breellen acts for a range of government and private sector clients, advising on all areas of planning and environmental law. She also has extensive experience in Land and Environment Court matters, including merit appeals, judicial review and enforcement proceedings.
Breellen has a particular interest in biodiversity conservation, sustainability, environmental compliance, corporate environmental management and waste regulation. Breellen has also lectured in planning and environmental law at Western Sydney University School of Law, as well having been the author of Thomson Reuters’ Planning and Development Law Service.
Breellen has been recognised in the Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Planning & Development Lawyer – New South Wales since 2020 and in the 2021 and 2022 editions of Best Lawyers for Planning and Environmental Law.
Breellen joins Maddocks from Holding Redlich and will be joined by special counsel Blake Dyer, associate Georgia Appleby and lawyer Kate O’Mara.
