Keypoint Law has been named a finalist in the coveted Medium Law Firm of the Year category of the upcoming 15th Victorian Legal Awards, the latest in a recent string of industry accolades.
Keypoint launched less than five years ago, expanding into the Victorian market in late 2016. The firm has since gone from strength-to-strength with the addition of highly credentialled senior lawyers, and is now recognised as one of Australia’s fastest growing law firms by partner-level appointments.
In 2018, Keypoint was named Boutique Law Firm of the Year in the Australian Law Awards and in March 2019, was announced as a finalist in the ‘Law Firm of the Year (1-100 Lawyers)’ category of the Australasian Law Awards, shortly after being recognised across 15 practice areas in the 2020 edition of Best Lawyers in Australia.
Commenting on the announcement, Keypoint CEO Warren Kalinko said:
“We are thrilled to be named a finalist in these awards in recognition of our innovation, strategic vision, and commitment to corporate social responsibility. Since inception we have maintained our focus on building a law firm which ‘rehumanises’ the practise of law by respond to entrenched problems in the legal profession, including the attrition of women from law, the marginalisation of older lawyers, and a fixation with financial metrics. To be recognised for our commitment to advancing wellbeing in the legal profession is a great honour.”
Suzy Schmitz, a Consulting Principal in Keypoint’s Melbourne practice, added:
“I am immensely proud to be part of a firm that emphasises lawyer wellbeing and choice, encourages flexible work practices and promotes diversity. I commend Keypoint for pioneering a cultural shift in the legal profession and proving that senior legal practice can be genuinely compatible with life’s other demands, without compromising on the quality of work or earnings.”
